Positive Distraction

In our very busy corporate lives performing our job objectives and routinary task, add emotional baggage accumulated emotions from the interactions we have with our colleagues and personal lives. It is therefore very important to once in a while have a positive distraction, an outlet or channel to vent it all out.
Company's can sponsor such activities and put in some structure to the activity, it helps everyone vent out, give and receive feedback as well as it being a re-enforcement of existing relations.

Other activities which may be sponsored by the company or not may also be undertaken by some or all at a more regular interval, just to re-enforce the relationship that is already there or build up a relationship that is not yet there.

Important things to note during such activities is to give everyone a chance, everyone has their own side of the story and it is very important that everyone be given the chance to be heard. Also important is for everyone to give and accept feedback properly, be mature, focus on situation, be professional and accept it as it is.

Whatever other people will say about who you are don't rationalize it, for what other people see is who you really are.

So go out, have fun and make sure you have a productive and positive distraction.
