Mentors

It’s so hard to find true mentors now a days, and to find one that fits and gels with is nearly impossible, I think it only comes ones in your life that you find a perfect fit for you, if a second one comes, then you are extremely lucky and the Lord probably thinks you need more mentoring.

I read a post today form Sachas’ blog about “Creative encouragement and following passion” it was about her discussion about life and careers, Pls. do read the post, it’s a good lesson for all of us. One term stood out, “Creative Encouragement”, it is so new to me yet I have been a recipient of it from my mentor which recently passed.

I was lucky enough, or it was really meant to be, that I had a mentor who could understand, who could guide and lead me, who looked at me and saw what I could be or what I was going to be, who lead and managed from her heart and had a genuine emphatic management style. My mentor shared only “Creative encouragement” and always encouraged us to follow and channel our passion to propel us to develop and evolve.

It is very important to not look at things, situations and paradigms on a single track, everything can be connected and every is connected, one will also lead to another and it will always be for our good or benefit. Also very important is that it is perfectly alright to not know, to be uncertain as well as to make mistakes. All of these will help mold and develop us, let us trust in the overall scheme of things, what is important is that we are aware of what is happening, what our choices are and learn from every experience.

I am still currently looking for a mentor but I do feel that I will not find it until the right time comes.
